Question 2: How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Question 3: What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Question 4: Who would be the audience for your media product?

Audience Feedback:
The feedback I got given for my film opening produced was mostly very positive feedback as the audience enjoyed it, however the thriller genre may not be everyone's favourite type of film so they may not have enjoyed it as much as others. The issues raised by my audience would be addressed by taking on board their comments and next time improving the opening by for example, changing some of the settings within our film to make it more effective to watch and to build audience emotion. This could be easily solved by going out and finding a suitable location to fit our genre and use this instead.

Question 5: How did you attract/address your audience?

Question 6: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

At the start of this media course, I didn't really know much about the subject as others may have done who took the subject before. Along the way I learnt many different key things with the help of others and my own knowledge, for example I learned that the filming did not have to be perfect in one take as we could record as many as we liked and then choose the best one. Furthermore I learned that we could also choose one of the clips and it did not matter if something went wrong at the end or beginning as we could cut it out with the Adobe Premier software.
I learned how to use different shot types and what they were about and how to carry them out correctly using a camera and/or tripod. These can help get messages across to the audience clearly as if you use a certain type of shot in the wrong place it can destroy the meaning of your scenario and possibly the effect of your whole opening.

This Emaze below will explain in detail my progress and what I have learnt while using the different technologies during making my media opening.

Question 7: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

This is our preliminary task we filmed before for our blog. Looking back at this now in comparison to our final opening product there has been major improvements made. There were lots of mistakes made in relation to the shots and following of the angles, such as the 180 degree rule was wrong and we had to rectify this change in editing. As we progressed we realised that the quality of the recording was also

Along the way we learned how to correctly fix this problem without having to flip the image in editing as it makes things harder. We can clearly see from our recent thriller opening that the continuity flows much better than in our preliminary task, as the shots are smoother.

I would say in my opinion we were also more creative and imaginative with our ideas as the preliminary tasks were quite basic and not very interesting, they just had a simple structure and scenario with some dialogue where most of the shots were shaky and did not look professional. We definitely executed the shots better this time around and were more confident with the techniques.

However our opening used different shot types to create effect in the right places and also the progression in editing meant that the effects helped with this. We also thought out the idea we were going to use for our final film and had to piece together the scenario, thinking about how it would play out to our target audience. This was quite difficult and we did not exceed in this area as we had trouble with groups and final ideas but this was fixed later on.
